Rod Stewart, “One Last Time” Tour
Walmart AMP — Rogers, Arkansas — Wednesday, April 22, 2026 | By Novena Littlejohn

Sir Rod Stewart does not perform at 81 the way most men perform at 81. He moved — across the full width of the stage, through choreography, through mic stand twirls — for close to two hours on a Wednesday night, and the crowd at the Walmart AMP did not appear to be calculating his age against the evidence in front of them.
The production held up its end. Lighting was considered and generous. The wardrobe was Las Vegas-adjacent and deliberately so, the hair exactly what it has always been. Stewart has a formula, and the formula works: stack your catalog hits, pull in a cover or two, give the room something to feel, and walk off.
He ran 24 songs. The catalog hits landed where they were supposed to — “Tonight’s the Night,” “Forever Young,” “Maggie May,” “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” The covers were well-chosen: Cat Stevens’ “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” Tom Waits’ “Downtown Train,” The Temptations’ “(I Know) I’m Losing You.” He covered The Impressions’ “People Get Ready” and closed on The O’Jays’ “Love Train.”
His six backup singers were a production within the production. They took the lead on a featured run through “I’m So Excited” and again on “Proud Mary.” Mid-show, the band and singers broke into an Irish medley — traditional songs associated with graduation — complete with river dancing. It could have been its own ticketed number.
Rogers, Arkansas on Wednesday, New Orleans Jazz Fest on Thursday, WinStar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma on Friday night.
The tour is called “One Last Time.” Three shows in three states in three days says otherwise.
